About the role

Al-Azhar Kelapa Gading is seeking a dedicated Shadow Teacher to provide individualized support for students with diverse learning needs. This is a part-time position based in Kelapa Gading, Jakarta. We are looking for someone who is patient, proactive, and committed to helping every child reach

Key responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support for students during classroom learning and school activities.

• Assist students in following classroom routines, instructions, and learning objectives.

• Support students’ academic, social, emotional, and behavioral development.

• Collaborate closely with homeroom teachers, subject teachers, and parents regarding student progress.

• Observe, document, and report student development regularly.

• Encourage student independence while providing appropriate guidance and assistance.

• Maintain a safe, positive, and nurturing learning environment.

• Participate in staff meetings and professional development activities as required

What we're looking for

• Passion for working with young children (ages 2-6 years) and a genuine commitment to early childhood education

• Previous experience working in an early childhood education setting, school, or childcare facility

• Patience, flexibility, and a calm demeanor when working with children

• Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively as part of a teaching team

• Physical capability to engage with children throughout the day, including standing, bending, and lifting

• Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education methodologies is preferred

• Relevant qualifications in early childhood education or child care are beneficial
