About the role:

As a Product Owner at Kainos,you'llbe at the heart of how we bring generative and agentic AI into our market-leading Smart Test Product for Workday.

You'llhave a hands-on role inshaping and delivering our AI and agentic testing strategy — bringing innovative capabilities into the product tomaintainour leading market position.

You will:

• Knowyourcustomer’sneeds, personas,and why they engage with your product.

• Becomean expert in the problems we solvefor our customersand “why” they matter.

• Know your competition and how to stay ahead of them.

• Use generative and agentic AI to deliver real-world customervalue.

• Continuallyvalidatethatyoudeliver measurable customer value.

• Leadworkshops with customers and internal stakeholdersto unpack requirements.

• Be ready to back your decisions with quantitative and qualitative data.

• Build alignment across engineering, sales, pre-sales,marketingand professional services.

• Use AI to accelerate discoveryand rapidlyprototype ideas.

• Manageroadmap delivery– Creating actionable user stories,settingmeasurablesuccess criteria, and trackingactual outcomes againsttarget.

• Ensure close alignment to business goals and values.

• Launch products and featuresto market– organising and enabling delivery, pre-sales, and onboarding– and drive adoption.

• Contributeto marketing campaignsandsupport Sales with product demos.

• Scope MVP and Early Adopter Programmes – settingand communicatingexpectations, time scales, ideal customer profiles,acceptance criteriaand exit gates.

• Be responsible - Identifying and mitigating risks to the business and to theproject.

Minimum (essential) requirements:

• A minimum of 2-3 years' experience working as a Product Owner in a SaaS environment, managing backlogs, working with developmentteamsandprioritisingroadmaps.

• Demonstrable experienceof creating customer valueusing generative or agentic AI.

• Outcome oriented mindset – Demonstrated aptitudeto connect product investments withmeasurable customer value and outcomes, not just feature delivery.

• Customer focused –Comfort and ability engaging with customers and users.Youwillact as the voice of the customer infunctional or technical product discussions.

• Proven ability tonavigatecompeting prioritiesand align stakeholders.

• Excellent communication skills.Apersuasive and effective communicator with strong negotiating skills.It'snot only about talking —you'llneed to listen, understand, and build on others' viewpoints.

• Being flexible to travel ifrequiredto customer and partner locations worldwide.

Desirable:

• Workday experience

• Relevant commercial experienceinTest Automationand/or HCM, Payroll,Financialor Recruitmentsystems.

• Enthusiasm fornew technologiesand innovation– include agentic and generativeAI-and a proactive approach tointegrating these intohow we work andinto the product roadmap.

• Goodunderstanding of AI trends, andAI-drivendevelopment practices.
