Export Import Staff

About the role

We are seeking an Export Import Staff to join PT NX LEMO INDONESIA LOGISTIK in Jakarta on a full-time basis. This position is integral to our import and export operations, providing essential support in managing customs documentation, shipment coordination, and regulatory compliance. As Export Import Staff, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient cross-border trade processes whilst maintaining adherence to international trade regulations and company standards. This role is critical to the success of our logistics operations and directly impacts our ability to serve our clients effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Preparing and processing export and import documentation, including commercial invoices, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and customs declarations

• Liaising with customs authorities, shipping agents, and freight forwarders to ensure compliance with import and export regulations

• Coordinating shipment movements from origin to destination, tracking cargo status and managing timely delivery

• Verifying accuracy of shipping documents and ensuring all required documentation is complete and submitted on time

• Calculating and managing duties, tariffs, and other applicable charges for international shipments

• Maintaining detailed records of all import and export transactions for audit and regulatory purposes

• Resolving documentation discrepancies and managing communication with clients regarding shipment status and requirements

• Supporting the coordination of customs clearance procedures and addressing any delays or issues that may arise

• Staying updated on changes to import and export regulations, tariff classifications, and trade compliance requirements

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in import/export operations, customs procedures, or freight forwarding, preferably within the logistics industry

• Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, customs documentation requirements, and compliance procedures

• Proficiency in using shipping and customs software systems, as well as Microsoft Office applications

• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to accurately process complex documentation

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously

• Effective communication skills in English and Indonesian, both written and verbal

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

• Knowledge of HS codes, tariff classifications, and cargo handling best practices is advantageous

• Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
