We are currently recruiting professional candidates for Welder to join and work at High Volt Technology with the following qualifications:
Minimum High School (SMA/SMK) or equivalent education, specializing in welding technology or a relevant field; minimum of 2 (two) years of work experience and possession of a medical clearance certificate from a doctor or hospital. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply for this position;
Possession of OHS (K3) certification, BNSP certification, and/or Ministry of Manpower certification as a welder is an advantage;
Understanding of and proficiency in welding techniques, such as: Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW), and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW);
Good communication skills for inter-team coordination;
Knowledge of workplace safety procedures.
Candidates will be assigned and responsible for the following:
Reading, interpreting, and understanding technical blueprints, project specifications, welding symbols, dimensions, and tolerances to ensure accurate welding results;
Preparing materials to be joined—including cleaning, cutting, grinding, and shaping metal parts to required dimensions, and removing rust, paint, or other contaminants that could affect weld quality;
Preparing and ensuring all welding equipment—such as welding machines, electrodes, and personal protective equipment (PPE)—is in good condition and ready for use;
Maintaining a clean work area free of flammable materials; adhering to these safety procedures is essential to minimize the risk of fire or explosion;
Performing the welding process by heating the metal parts to be joined and adding filler material if necessary, while maintaining accuracy and consistency and controlling welding parameters such as voltage and current;
Inspecting welds to ensure compliance with specified quality standards by checking for defects—such as cracks, porosity, or excessive spatter—often utilizing visual inspection techniques and non-destructive testing;
Adhering to safety protocols, wearing appropriate protective clothing, and ensuring adequate workplace ventilation, as well as complying with safety regulations and codes related to welding operations;
Organizing and maintaining welding equipment, and selecting the appropriate welding machines, electrodes, wire, shielding gas, and other materials required for the welding process;
Communicating with the team and supervisors to report work progress, issues encountered, and any needs for additional materials or equipment.
