Spot UV Machine Operator

About the role

PT JJX TECH INDONESIA is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Spot UV Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team in Karawang, West Java. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in our production operations. As a Spot UV Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining specialised UV coating equipment to apply selective UV varnish finishes to printed materials. This role is essential to ensuring the quality and consistency of our finished products, and you will work on-site at our facility in Karawang.

Key responsibilities

• Operate spot UV coating machines in accordance with production schedules and quality specifications

• Set up and configure UV machine parameters, including intensity, speed and coating thickness to meet product requirements

• Monitor machine performance throughout production runs and make adjustments as necessary

• Inspect finished products for quality defects, including uneven coating, misalignment or surface imperfections

• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of UV equipment to ensure optimal functionality

• Load and unload substrates and ensure proper material handling throughout the production process

• Record production data, including machine settings, output quantities and any operational issues

• Troubleshoot common machine problems and report significant issues to supervisory staff

• Adhere to all health, safety and environmental regulations within the manufacturing environment

• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and deadlines

• Aware to the Safety, machinese effectiveness , and 5S in the SPOT UV machinese circumstances. And others ad hoc task regarding to the SPOT UV machine handling.

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a machine operator, preferably with UV coating or printing equipment

• Solid understanding of UV coating technology and application processes

• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and production documentation

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards

• Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills

• Proficiency in operating control panels and digital displays

• Excellent hand-eye coordination and fine motor control

• Ability to work shift patterns, including early mornings and potential overtime when required

• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment

• Commitment to health and safety compliance in the workplace

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification

• Relevant technical certification or vocational training in machine operation is preferred

• High school diploma or equivalent : mechanical engineering, automotive, Additional for vocational training in printing or graphic arts is an advantage;

•  Knowledge of Spot UV coating processes, varnishing, and finishing techniques. Ability to set up, adjust, operate, and troubleshoot Spot UV machines. Familiarity with machine maintenance and routine cleaning procedures.

• Willing to be placed and worked in KNIC, Karawang - Jawa Barat, and able to join immidiately. 

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience operating Spot UV or Screen Printing machines in a printing or Packaging company
