Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Microbiology Lab Analyst in the FMCG industry (Dairy preferred), with a D3/S1 degree in Food Technology, Biology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or related fields.
Proven expertise in microbiological testing for pathogenic and non-pathogenic parameters (TPC, Enterobacteriaceae, Coliform, Salmonella, Listeria monocytogenes, Staphylococcus, E. coli, Yeast & Mold).
Demonstrated experience in method verification, method validation, and strain/microbial culture management.
Strong knowledge and practical implementation of ISO 17025, HACCP, FSSC 22000, Halal Assurance Systems, and internal auditing.
Familiarity with 5S, Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Safety, Food Safety standards, and stock inventory management.
Resilient, highly disciplined, strong communication skills, and willing to work in shifts with a rotating off-day schedule.
Hands-on experience in safely operating laboratory equipment, including autoclaves, incubators, laminar flow benches, and biosafety cabinets.
Job Description:
Execute microbiological testing on finished goods, raw materials, auxiliary materials, and environmental samples according to the process inspection plan.
Formulate reagents, standard solutions, and culture media, maintaining accurate preparation logs and stock inventory.
Perform method verification and validation procedures whenever new testing methods are developed or updated.
Monitor laboratory disinfection, execute sterility checks in sterile and pathogen rooms, and complete all environment monitoring records.
Manage hazardous microbial waste disposal safely in compliance with bio-safety protocols and maintain corresponding records.
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment (autoclaves, incubators, biosafety cabinets) safely while keeping the microbiology lab clean and sterilized.
Record and input inspection data accurately into the system and submit reports to the Inspection Team Leader for review.
