Senior Advisor – Community Relations & Development

Chifeng Gold’s Lane Xang Minerals Limited Company (LXML) operates the Sepon Gold and Copper Operation, located in Vilabouly District, Savannakhet Province, Lao PDR. Reporting to the Executive Superintendent, the Senior Advisor – Community Relations & Development is responsible for executing community relations and sustainable development programs across operational areas. This role leads stakeholder engagement, government relations, land access activities, and community development initiatives to support LXML's social licence to operate. The Senior Advisor ensures all community engagement activities are delivered safely, professionally, and in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities Include:
• Lead the resolution of complex community complaints, including land access and environmental issues.
• Manage land access activities supporting mining and exploration projects.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with government authorities at all levels.
• Coordinate official government visits and stakeholder engagement activities.
• Support regulatory approvals through effective government liaison.
• Guide and mentor Community Relations and Development field teams.
• Manage community development projects and co-funding initiatives with government partners.
• Oversee community development funds to ensure transparency and sustainable outcomes.
• Develop sustainable livelihood and community development programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Line Manager.

Qualifications, Experiences, and Skills:
• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Development Studies, Social Sciences, Public Relations, Law, Political Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in Community Relations, Community Development, Government Relations, or a similar role.
• Experience managing community grievances, land access, and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong government relations, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Experience delivering community development programs or social investment projects.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in Lao and English (written and spoken).
• Knowledge of Lao regulations and rural community engagement.
• A valid Lao driver's licence is an advantage.
