BIOMEDICAL ENGINEER CLINICAL SUPPORT

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Install, maintain, and provide technical support for all medical equipment and devices.

2. Collaborate with manufacturing staff on the safety and efficiency of technical and medical equipment.

3. Provide essential training on safety and handling of clinical-related products (medical equipment) to the required team.

4. Prepare procedures, written technical reports, and documentation for companies and manufacturers.

5. Present research findings to a variety of audiences, including scientists, clinicians, managers, other engineers, and the public.

6. Prepare training materials, analysis, and experiments as needed towards biomedical research and development.

7. Ensure all medical device registrations (NIE – Nomor Izin Edar) and audits are up to date and compliant with Kementerian Kesehatan (Ministry of Health) and BPOM regulations.

8. Undertake clinical support in operation theatre areas as required.

9. Provide reports of event occurrences and cases in the Operation Theatre.

10. Undertake stock management responsibilities for medical equipment and supplies.

11. Undertake safety aspects related to biohazards in compliance with applicable safety standards.

12. Support all relevant departments as and when required.

13. Travel to outstation locations and overseas as required by business needs.

14. Involve in conducting market research to identify clients’ needs and trends, while generating insights to support sales strategies and campaigns

15. Carry out any other tasks assigned by management.

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

1. Professional Degree or Diploma in Biomedical Engineering, Biomedical Science, Medical Electronics (Teknik Elektromedik), or a related field from an accredited institution.

2. Must possess an active STR (Surat Tanda Registrasi) as required under Kementerian Kesehatan regulations.

3. Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant experience in biomedical engineering or clinical support. Fresh graduates with strong academic credentials and a keen willingness to learn are highly encouraged to apply.

4. Familiarity with medical device registration processes under Kementerian Kesehatan and BPOM, including NIE (Nomor Izin Edar) compliance.

5. Experience with medical laser devices, rehabilitation equipment, or clinical support tools is an advantage.

6. Sound understanding of biomedical safety standards and biohazard management.

7. Superb verbal and written communication skills.

8. Proficient in preparing technical reports, procedures, and training materials.
