Coal Marketing Specialist

About the role

PT. Transcoal Minergy is seeking a Coal Marketing Specialist to join our dynamic team in Jakarta Utara. This is a position that plays a crucial role in driving our coal marketing initiatives and supporting our strategic objectives in the mining and natural resources sector. As a Coal Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that promote our coal products to domestic and international markets, whilst maintaining strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders. This role is essential to our business growth and market competitiveness in the energy sector.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the superior in developing and implementing comprehensive coal marketing strategies to expand market reach and increase sales revenue

• Identify and target potential clients in domestic and international markets, conducting market research and competitive analysis

• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business

• Prepare detailed marketing proposals, presentations and technical documentation tailored to client requirements

• Coordinate with operations and logistics teams to ensure timely product delivery and customer satisfaction

• Monitor market trends, pricing dynamics and competitor activities to inform strategic marketing decisions

• Participate in industry events, trade shows and networking activities to promote brand visibility and generate business opportunities

• Prepare regular marketing reports and performance metrics to track progress against targets and objectives

• Collaborate with internal teams to develop promotional materials and marketing campaigns

• Negotiate contracts and terms with clients to achieve mutually beneficial commercial agreements

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Geology, or a related field

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in coal marketing roles

• In-depth knowledge of the coal industry, including coal grades, specifications, mining operations and market dynamics

• Strong understanding of international coal trading practices, shipping logistics and export regulations

• Proven track record of successfully managing client relationships and closing commercial deals

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English; proficiency in Mandarin is advantageous

• Analytical skills with the ability to conduct market research and interpret data to inform strategy

• Strong organizational abilities and capability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

• Experience with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications

• Knowledge of coal quality parameters, testing standards and technical specifications is preferred

• Familiarity with international marketing and export procedures is desirable
