We are seeking a dynamic professional to join our team as a Learning & Business Advisory Associate (Family Business Specialization), to specialise in family business consulting research. This hybrid role combines curriculum design, client engagement, and business development, with a focus on addressing the unique challenges of family-owned enterprises. The ideal candidate will bridge skill gaps through creating tailored content while driving client acquisition and fostering long-term partnerships. Your main priority will be building content for our principal consultants in the firm, while you build up your knowledge in family business consulting and building new business opportunities with your colleagues as your second priority.

Key Roles and Responsibilities
1. Curriculum Development & Learning Strategy
- Develop research-backed modules for clients, workshops, and onboarding materials, ensuring the highest attention to detail and care for understanding.
- Synthesize and organize key frameworks and insights found from key sources and interviews with subject matter experts.
- Design and implement customized L&D programs aligned with organizational goals, incorporating adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
- Conduct needs assessments to identify skill gaps, leveraging tools such as surveys, interviews, and performance data analysis.
- Evaluate training effectiveness using metrics like Kirkpatrick’s Model and adjust programs based on feedback.
- Utilise overarching “Understanding by Design” by Grant Wiggins principles when researching content for clients.
2. Client-Facing Consulting & Business Development
- Reach out to potential partners/clubs relevant to family businesses to develop opportunities for us to share more about our services to reach family businesses who may need our help.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, proposals, and client pitches.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to promote Family Business services and expand market reach.
- Learn to act as a trusted advisor to family-owned businesses, addressing challenges such as succession planning, governance, and conflict resolution.
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including HR teams, family business owners, and external partners.
3. Operational & Strategic Support
- Manage training budgets, timelines, and partners to ensure cost-effective program delivery.
- Stay updated on industry trends in L&D (e.g., AI-driven learning tools) and family business consulting best practices.
4. Grow in Family Business Consulting Expertise
- This role will allow you to grow in Family Business consulting expertise and give you opportunities to consult directly over a five year timeframe.
- Learn how to provide guidance on succession planning, including leadership transitions and next-generation talent development.
Qualifications & Skills
- Full time with age not more than 35 years old
- Bachelor’s degree in Educational Technology, Pedagogy, or similar fields.
- 2 until 3 years in L&D roles with proven success in curriculum design and facilitation (preferable has experience as lecturer/ assistant lecturer).
- Familiarity with family business dynamics, including governance, succession, and conflict resolution.
- Ability to generate insights from English/Indonesian resources; familiarity with research databases like JSTOR is a big plus.
- Ability to research and develop content specific to the needs of the client.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills for stakeholder engagement.
- Analytical mindset to translate client needs into actionable training solutions.
- Project management proficiency to oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Graphic Design Basics: Knowledge in PPT, Adobe Creative Suite, or Canva is a plus.
