About the role

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to join our team at our facility in Tegal, Central Java. This is a contract position that offers an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact on our manufacturing operations. As Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of production scheduling, resource allocation, quality control and continuous improvement initiatives. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our manufacturing operations run efficiently, safely and in compliance with all regulatory requirements. This position is critical to achieving our operational targets and maintaining our reputation for quality and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Planning and scheduling production activities to meet demand forecasts and delivery deadlines

• Supervising and managing production teams to ensure optimal performance and safety standards

• Monitoring production processes and implementing corrective actions to address inefficiencies or quality issues

• Managing inventory levels and coordinating with supply chain to ensure material availability

• Implementing and maintaining quality control procedures to ensure products meet specified standards

• Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing lean manufacturing initiatives

• Maintaining accurate production records, reports and documentation for compliance purposes

• Ensuring adherence to health, safety and environmental regulations across the production facility

• Collaborating with other departments including quality assurance, maintenance and logistics

• Training and developing production staff to enhance skills and performance

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years of experience in production management or similar manufacturing operations role

• Proven track record of successfully managing production teams and achieving operational targets

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies

• Excellent organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

• Demonstrated ability to implement quality control systems and reduce production defects

• Strong understanding of health, safety and environmental compliance requirements

• Proficiency in production planning software and Microsoft Office applications

• Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members

• Problem-solving capabilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving operational challenges

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Management or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)

• Fluency in Indonesian and English languages

• Experience in CNC machine operation is a must nor limited to programming, preventive maintenance, trouble shooting etc.
