Database Administrator
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines.
- Process, transform, and manage large volumes of data efficiently.
- Perform data validation and ensure data quality across data workflows.
- Develop and maintain automated workflows using Apache Airflow or similar orchestration tools.
- Collaborate with internal and client teams to understand business requirements and deliver effective data integration solutions.
- Optimize database queries and improve data pipeline performance.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of cloud data warehouse solutions.
- Apply data governance, data quality, and data discovery best practices throughout the data lifecycle.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma (D3) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
- Proficient in Python and SQL for data processing and automation.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, including Advanced Query, Joins, Common Table Expressions (CTE), and Window Functions.
- Experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
- Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT processes and data integration.
- Experience using Apache Airflow, Talend, or similar ETL/workflow orchestration tools.
- Familiar with cloud data warehouse platforms such as BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, or similar.
- Understanding of Data Governance, Data Quality, Data Discovery, and Data Validation concepts.
- Knowledge of database query optimization.
- Familiarity with BigID or similar data governance platforms is an advantage.
- Experience working with Linux is a plus.
