Job Summary
The Freelance Data Center Cabling Technician is responsible for carrying out structured cabling and fiber optic installation activities in Data Center projects under the supervision of the Team Lead. The role includes cable routing, mounting, termination, fusion splicing, rack cabling, labeling, and supporting testing and commissioning activities while ensuring compliance with project quality, safety, and schedule requirements.
Responsibilities：
- Install UTP and fiber optic cabling.
- Pull, route, and dress cables through cable trays, ladders, and conduits.
- Perform cable termination (UTP & Fiber Optic).
- Perform fiber optic fusion splicing and ODF termination.
- Install and mount patch panels, ODFs, racks, and related cabling accessories.
- Conduct cable labeling according to project standards.
- Support Fluke, OTDR, and Power Meter testing activities.
- Troubleshoot and repair cabling issues when required.
- Follow shop drawings, installation standards, and work instructions.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good condition.
- Comply with all HSE/K3 regulations and wear appropriate PPE.
- Report daily work progress to the Team Lead.
