Job Description
- Plan, supervise, and coordinate all landscape maintenance activities to ensure the property remains clean, safe, attractive, and well-maintained
- Develop and implement daily, weekly, and monthly work schedules for the Landscape team.
- Lead, supervise, and assign tasks to landscape staff while ensuring work is completed efficiently and according to company standards.
- Monitor the maintenance of lawns, gardens, trees, shrubs, ornamental plants, and all green areas.
- Oversee irrigation, fertilization, pruning, mowing, weed control, and pest & disease management programs.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure the overall quality, cleanliness, and aesthetics of landscape areas.
- Identify landscape improvement opportunities and recommend enhancement projects to support the guest experience.
- Ensure all landscape equipment, machinery, and tools are properly maintained and operated safely.
- Monitor inventory levels of plants, fertilizers, pesticides, irrigation materials, and other landscape supplies.
- Control operational expenses and ensure efficient use of labor, materials, and equipment within the approved budget.
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Housekeeping, Animal Care, Operations, and other departments regarding landscape-related activities.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports covering maintenance activities, manpower utilization, equipment status, and landscape conditions.
- Conduct performance evaluations, coaching, and on-the-job training for Landscape team members.
- Ensure all landscape operations comply with company SOPs, quality standards, and sustainability initiatives.
- Respond promptly to landscape-related issues and implement corrective actions to maintain operational excellence.
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree (S1) or Diploma (D3) in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, Agriculture, Forestry, Agronomy, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Landscape Supervisor, or 5 years of experience in landscape maintenance, preferably in hospitality, theme parks, resorts, zoological parks, botanical gardens, or tourism destinations.
- Strong knowledge of tropical plant species, landscape maintenance, horticultural practices, and plant health management.
- Good understanding of irrigation systems, drainage systems, fertilization techniques, and integrated pest management.
- Experience in planning and supervising landscape maintenance programs.
- Ability to read and interpret landscape drawings and planting plans is an advantage.
- Strong leadership, team management, coaching, and mentoring skills.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) practices and environmental regulations.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, based on operational requirements.
- Possesses high integrity, accountability, discipline, and attention to detail.
