Procurement Supervisor

"ME Longteng (hereinafter referred to as “Company”) is a leading manufacturer of high-quality grinding media for the worldwide mining industry. It is a joint venture between ME Elecmetal (a world-renowned supplier of milling solutions from Santiago, Chile) and Long Teng Special Steel Co., Ltd (a premium steel products manufacturer based in Jiangsu China)."  The factory is situated at new integrated industrial estate, Kawasan Industri Terpadu (KIT) Batang, Central Java.

 Currently, we’re urgently looking for a Procurement Supervisor to build a best-in-class procurement function across our Indonesia businesses. In this role, you'll lead strategic sourcing initiatives, strengthen vendor partnerships, drive cost optimization, and improve procurement governance that delivers real business impact.

 Daily Responsibility:

• Daily Purchasing Operations: supervise PR-PO process and ensure timeline PO creation

• Handle routine negotiations and follow up on operational issues

• Develop and execute procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and supplier performance

• Supplier Management: Conducts supplier performance reviews and manages initiatives for cost savings and process improvements

• Oversee office, showroom, and warehouse facilities, including maintenance, utilities, service providers, and workplace safety.

• Maintain procurement contracts, documentation, and regulatory compliance.

• Communicate with suppliers on quotations, negotiations, and delivery commitments

• Coordinate with Planning, Warehouse, and Manufacturing for priority items

• Monitor order status, delivery schedules, and expediting (urgent request)

• Internal Relationship: Effectiveness in promoting solid teamwork and ensuring company target achievement through continuous feedback.

Qualification 

• Bachelor’s degree from reputable universities Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

• Minimum 7 years of experience in leading, coordinating, or managing purchasing activities as well experience / knowledge on import-export

• Good understanding of budgeting and operational expense management.

• Experience in contract review and supplier agreements will be an advantage.

• Good analytical skills with the ability to identify cost-saving opportunities.

• Experience in the manufacturing / plant industry is highly preferred.

• Strong understanding of end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes.

• Basic Quality Standards: Familiarity with COA (Certificate of Analysis) and MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) requirements for incoming direct materials to support the Warehouse/QA team.

• Understanding inventory management principles to ensure material availability and business continuity.

• Customer-oriented mindset with a focus on service, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

• High accuracy standard to ensure that all procurement-related transactions are properly recorded in the ERP system (Sage X3)

• Strong English communication skills are required. Candidates must be able to communicate confidently in both written and spoken English.

• Chinese Mandarin is not a requirement but would be a plus

• Ready to be posted at the plant in Kawasan Industri Terpadu Batang, Central Java.
