Project Procurement

About the role

We are seeking a Project Procurement professional to join our team at our Simalungun facility in North Sumatra on a full-time basis. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our manufacturing operations by managing procurement activities for specific projects and capital initiatives. You will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating and procuring materials, equipment and services required to support our production objectives and strategic projects. This position is integral to ensuring timely project delivery, cost efficiency and compliance with our procurement policies and standards.

Key responsibilities :

• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors for project-specific materials and equipment requirements

• Prepare detailed procurement plans and timelines aligned with project schedules and budgets

• Issue requests for quotations (RFQs), evaluate bids and negotiate contracts with suppliers to achieve optimal pricing and terms

• Process purchase orders and manage documentation throughout the procurement cycle

• Monitor supplier performance and ensure delivery of goods and services meet quality and timeline expectations

• Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts and supplier information

• Collaborate with project managers, operations teams and finance departments to ensure seamless project execution

• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, regulatory requirements and international standards

• Track project expenditures and report on procurement costs versus budget allocations

• Resolve procurement issues and manage expediting of critical deliverables as needed

What we're looking for :

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in procurement, project procurement or supply chain management, preferably within the manufacturing or industrial sector

• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management and contract negotiation

• Proficiency in inventory management systems and procurement software

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers

• Analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and accuracy

• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously whilst meeting deadlines

• Fluency in English and Indonesian (both written and verbal)

• Understanding of quality standards and compliance requirements relevant to manufacturing operations

• Experience with cost analysis, budget management and financial forecasting

• Preferably, experience working in the FMCG, chemical or manufacturing industry
