Jr Custom Specialist

Join our fast-growing team in Tangerang as Junior Customs Specialist. We are looking for a highly motivated and adaptable professional to bridge the gap between our local operational management, shipping lines, and regulatory authorities. This is prime entry-to-junior level opportunity for someone eager to master end-to-end import/export processes within a dynamic, high-speed international supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

• Shipment Management: Coordinate and monitor end-to-end import/export shipping processes specifically for perishable goods (fresh fruit).

• Customs Clearance: Coordinate and expedite customs clearance procedures to minimize port stay times.

• Permit & Compliance Handling: Manage, apply for, and renew necessary import/export permits, quarantine certificates, and agricultural documentations.

• Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and government/customs authorities.

• Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate, regular export-import operational reports.

• Issue Resolution: Swiftly resolve day-to-day operational, customs, and documentation discrepancies to prevent cargo delays.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience handling customs clearance, import/export documentation, or logistics operations.

• Must have background in operations/documentation, not marketing or sales within a freight forwarding company.

• Having Dangerous Goods (DG) Certification is a major plus (though not mandatory).

• Language Fluency: Strictly Fluent written and spoken English (and Bahasa Indonesia). Absolute comfort translating professional and technical business context on the fly. (Note: Proficiency in Mandarin is a significant advantage).

• Advance in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office suite.

• Exceptional multi-tasking skills, strong emotional resilience, and the ability to thrive under high pressure within a fast-paced logistics, agricultural, or manufacturing industry.

• You must be digitally agile and reachable around the clock. If an urgent translation or crisis pops up at midnight, you are on it. This role is for a true hustler. Immediate joiners preferred.
