The customer is a globally recognized geotechnical construction company specializing in innovative ground improvement and soil reinforcement solutions. With a strong presence across Asia and support from an international group, they apply advanced design-and-build techniques to optimize foundation systems for infrastructure, industrial, and commercial projects. Their culture blends technical excellence with a dynamic, collaborative work environment.
Job Summary:
As the Chief Accountant, you will oversee the company's accounting, financial reporting, taxation, and treasury functions while ensuring compliance with Indonesian regulations and the group's financial standards. You will work closely with the Finance Manager to support business operations, supervise project accounting activities, coordinate with banks and auditors, and deliver accurate financial reporting in a dynamic project-based environment.
Responsibilities:
Manage the company's general accounting activities, including overheads, projects, and yard operations.
Prepare payments, monitor cash flow, and oversee monthly bank reconciliations.
Lead monthly and quarterly financial closing activities in accordance with group reporting deadlines.
Manage petty cash, employee advances, expense claims, and reconciliations.
Maintain fixed asset records and monitor depreciation schedules.
Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts and payroll journal entries.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including cash flow, profit & loss, and balance sheet reports.
Coordinate with banks, auditors, insurance providers, and other external stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with Indonesian accounting standards, taxation regulations, and statutory reporting requirements.
Prepare tax reconciliations and support monthly and annual tax filings.
Supervise accounting activities related to ongoing projects, including project invoicing and payment tracking.
Issue and monitor project-related bank guarantees, including Performance Bonds, Retention Bonds, and Advance Payment Bonds.
Support continuous improvement of internal controls and financial processes.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounting and Finance, including supervisory responsibilities.
Experience in construction, engineering, EPC, infrastructure, or other project-based industries is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of Indonesian Financial Accounting Standards (PSAK), taxation, and statutory compliance.
Experience handling external audits, tax audits, and financial reporting.
Familiarity with international group reporting and internal control standards is an advantage.
Professional certifications such as CPA, CA, ACCA, or Brevet A & B are a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
Experience using ERP or accounting systems such as SAP, Xero, Oracle, Sage, Odoo, or equivalent.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
For this position, the client's budget is IDR 18,000,000–22,000,000 per month.
