About the role

We are seeking a General Safety Staff to join our team at our facility in Cikarang Pusat, Jawa Barat on a full-time basis. This is a pivotal role within our manufacturing operations, responsible for ensuring that all safety protocols, procedures and standards are implemented and maintained across the organization. The General Safety Staff will play a critical role in promoting a safety-first culture, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with all relevant occupational health and safety regulations and legislation.

Key responsibilities

1. Conducting regular workplace inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and safety risks

2. Implementing and monitoring safety procedures and protocols across all manufacturing departments

3. Investigating safety incidents and near-misses, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions

4. Developing and delivering safety training programmes and induction sessions for new employees

5. Maintaining comprehensive safety records, incident reports and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements

6. Assisting in the development and review of safety policies and standard operating procedures

7. Collaborating with department heads and supervisors to ensure adherence to safety standards

8. Promoting safety awareness and health initiatives amongst all staff members

9. Ensuring proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE)

10. Liaising with regulatory authorities and external safety consultants as required

What we're looking for

1. Diploma or Bachelor Degree ; further qualifications in occupational health and safety are highly desirable

2. Proven experience in a safety or health and safety role within a manufacturing environment

3. Strong knowledge of Indonesian occupational health and safety regulations and standards

4. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey safety information to diverse audiences

5. Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational abilities

6. Ability to conduct investigations objectively and document findings clearly and accurately

7. Proficiency in basic computer skills and familiarity with safety management systems

8. A genuine commitment to safety and the ability to influence others towards a safety-conscious culture

9. Physical capability to perform workplace inspections and move about the facility

10. Certification in First Aid and Basic Life Support (or willingness to obtain these)

11. Experience with safety analytics and reporting systems is advantageous
