Key Responsibilities
Operations & Delivery
Lead the commercialization process from RTB package receipt through the start of bulk production.
Partner closely with factory teams to ensure timely execution of commercialization activities and a smooth ramp-up to mass production.
Drive Tech Trials (Tech 2, 3, and 4) and related meetings to ensure products are engineered for fit, wear, functionality, quality consistency, and production efficiency.
Identify and resolve issues discovered during fit and wear testing to ensure successful transition to mass production.
Plan and manage commercialization timelines to meet delivery targets, cost/margin expectations, and quality standards.
Confirm finalized cutting manipulations (especially for special materials/leathers) with suppliers, factories, development, costing, and production teams.
Review and confirm bottom production blueprints and molds based on approved development molds and agreed revisions.
Review manufacturing SOPs and COVAs to ensure readiness for bulk production.
Support production mold planning and cycle-time confirmation during tech trials when needed.
Verify packaging dimensions and label accuracy before production.
Provide technical guidance on construction, materials, costing, duties, and production alternatives.
Travel frequently to factories and component suppliers to lead and support commercialization activities.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
Support Proto, GTM1, GTM2, Sales samples, Tech 1 samples, and production confirmation samples to ensure smooth transition from development to commercialization.
Review design tech packages and identify potential risks related to construction, materials, fit/wear, or cost.
Participate in product and competitor sample tear-downs to evaluate construction methods, comfort, and cost efficiency.
Communicate clearly with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive timely decisions and problem resolution.
Build strong working relationships with development, planning, costing, quality, and other internal teams, as well as factory partners.
Processes & Continuous Improvement
Identify commercialization issues early and propose effective solutions.
Contribute to continuous improvement of commercialization and manufacturing processes across assigned factories.
Participate in reviews of quality issues and defective returns to strengthen product and production performance.
Explore and evaluate new technologies, materials, and manufacturing approaches relevant to the footwear industry.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
Experience
5–10+ years of experience in the footwear industry, particularly in product development and commercialization.
Strong knowledge of footwear development, commercialization, and manufacturing processes.
Solid understanding of materials, product construction, leather, lasts, molds, compounds, and foot anatomy.
Skills & Competencies

Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
