Yukerja Summary
The Business Consultant, Retail role at Onebeat is curated from Himalayas (category Logistik & Supply Chain). This role is marked as remote — check timezone and location requirements on the official listing. Yukerja.com is not the employer — applications are handled on the official source site.
Description
Onebeat is looking for a Business Consultant to help retail and supply chain leaders unlock the full value of our platform — from initial discovery, through solution design, to long-term adoption. This is a true pre- and post-sale role: you'll be involved before the deal is signed and stay engaged long after, helping customers realize real business value.
The ideal candidate has a genuine understanding of the retail world (merchandising, planning, supply chain, or operations) and is comfortable and articulate presenting to senior, executive-level stakeholders. This is a hands-on, individual-contributor role rather than an executive or management position — candidates with up to about 15 years of experience are very welcome, as long as they're looking to execute personally rather than manage from the top.
Location: Colombia or Mexico.
What You Will Do
Discovery & Business Consulting
- Meet with retail executives and operational leaders to understand their business goals, challenges, and opportunities.
- Conduct discovery workshops with stakeholders across Supply Chain, Planning, Merchandising, Inventory Management, and Operations.
- Identify operational gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Translate business challenges into practical solution recommendations.
- Act as a trusted advisor throughout the evaluation process.
Solution Design & Pre-Sales Support
- Work closely with Sales, Product, and Implementation teams to define solution scope and business value.
- Support solution design, business cases, and customer presentations.
- Help customers understand how Onebeat can address their operational challenges.
- Contribute to project planning and implementation readiness.
Post-Sales Adoption & Value Realization
- Partner with Implementation and Customer Success teams during onboarding and go-live.
- Help customers adopt new processes and ways of working.
- Monitor adoption and identify risks that may impact business outcomes.
- Support executive business reviews and value discussions.
- Identify expansion opportunities based on demonstrated customer success.
- Represent the voice of the customer internally and provide feedback to Product and Leadership teams.
Requirements
- Relevant experience in retail, ideally in merchandising or planning — you understand the world of retail and speak its language.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills — confident and articulate, presenting to senior, executive-level stakeholders.
- Ability to move fluidly from supporting a client's design and needs to supporting hands-on execution.
- A hungry, driven mindset with genuine passion to learn and grow.
- This is a hands-on, individual-contributor role, not an executive or management position — open to candidates with up to ~15 years of experience, as long as they want to execute personally rather than manage from the top.
Preferred Experience
- Experience (up to ~15 years) in Retail Technology Consulting, Retail Software Implementation, Supply Chain Consulting, or Retail Transformation projects.
- Experience working for a software vendor, consulting firm, implementation partner, or system integrator serving retail customers.
- Experience leading customer discovery workshops, business assessments, or solution design engagements.
- Understanding of inventory management, replenishment, allocation, merchandise planning, demand planning, supply chain, or retail operations.
- Fluent Spanish; good working proficiency in English, written and spoken — our team collaborates and interviews in English.
- Fashion Retail or Apparel industry experience.
- Experience with Oracle Retail, SAP Retail, Blue Yonder, RELEX, Manhattan, ToolsGroup, o9, Kinaxis, Aptos, Infor, or similar platforms.
- Experience supporting inventory optimization, planning, replenishment, forecasting, or retail transformation initiatives.
- Experience working with enterprise retailers across LATAM.
What This Role Is Not
This role is not intended for:
- Traditional quota-carrying sales representatives.
- General Account Managers without retail domain expertise.
- Customer Success professionals without strong retail or supply chain knowledge.
- Senior executives seeking a management position.
If you have never worked directly with retail operations, inventory challenges, planning processes, or supply chain decision-making, this is probably not the right role.
What Success Looks Like
- Customers trust your recommendations and expertise.
- You help customers identify and solve meaningful business problems.
- Customers successfully adopt Onebeat solutions and achieve measurable business value.
- You become a trusted advisor to retail and supply chain leaders.
- Growth opportunities emerge naturally because customers see a clear business impact.
