This role is part of Alcon's Engineering function, a team focused on improving quality, processes, products, packaging and materials across our business to help deliver brilliant outcomes. The Technician III, Repair & Maintenance Engineering (Science/Tech/Engineering Path), is primarily responsible for managing technical tasks in planning, designing, and implementing maintenance programs for facilities and equipment. You will be expected to build effective and meaningful relationships to coordinate maintenance work, review engineering specifications, and participate in equipment installation.
Specifics Include:
• Handle technical tasks related to planning, designing, and implementing maintenance programs to optimize facility and equipment availability and productivity
• Assist in coordinating maintenance engineering work and liaise with production staff to coordinate repair work, statutory safety inspections, and the supply of new plant and equipment with production schedules
• Review mechanical and electrical engineering specifications and assess new equipment designs for reliability, ease of maintenance, and availability of replacement parts
• Participate in the installation and commissioning of new equipment
• Make decisions within the scope of your tasks, requiring advanced technical skills and problem-solving abilities
• Adhere to GxP regulations by strictly following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), maintaining accurate and complete documentation, ensuring rigorous quality control, and completing all required training

In this role, a typical day will include:
Performing hands-on troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of equipment and systems
Conducting preventive and corrective maintenance following established procedures
Identifying technical issues and determining effective repair solutions
Reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, manuals, and work instructions
Operating and maintaining mechanical, electrical, and electronic components safely
Using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments accurately
Supporting installation, modification, and testing of equipment
Ensuring equipment meets required specifications after repair
Handling EQE activities to support shift operations
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:
Diploma Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electronics, or Mechatronics preferred)
Good basic knowledge of automation and HPLC
Strong understanding of Preventive Maintenance
Open to fresh graduates; 1-2 year of experience is preferred
Good communication skills in Bahasa and English-speaking ability
Hands-on technical hands-on skills for troubleshooting and repair would be preferred
Good understanding of Power BI or similar tools would be preferred
Good knowledge of CSV (Computer System Validation) would be preferred
