Senior Geologist

Position Summary

The Senior Geologist is responsible for providing geological and resource evaluation support for the Company's mining projects in Indonesia. Key responsibilities include mining concession due diligence, geological investigations, drilling supervision, sampling and assay quality control, geological database management, resource verification, 3D geological modeling, resource estimation, and production geology support.

The role focuses primarily on laterite nickel, bauxite, and other metallic mineral projects, supporting project evaluation, resource verification, technical risk assessment, mine development, and investment decision-making. The incumbent will ensure all geological activities comply with the Company's technical standards and relevant Indonesian mining regulations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Due Diligence & Technical Review

* Review mining license documents, historical exploration reports, drilling databases, assay results, topographic survey data, resource reports, and related technical documents.

* Evaluate data completeness, reliability, resource confidence, and potential geological risks.

* Provide professional technical assessments and due diligence recommendations for project acquisitions, partnerships, and investments.

2. Geological Exploration & Field Investigation

* Conduct field geological mapping and investigations.

* Collect and interpret geological information including stratigraphy, structures, orebody geometry, lithology, weathering profiles, host rock characteristics, and mineralization continuity.

* Develop and optimize exploration programs and monitor implementation progress.

 3. Drilling Supervision & Geological Logging

* Manage geological aspects of drilling programs.

* Supervise collar positioning, drilling quality, core recovery, core handling, photography, logging, storage, and data archiving.

* For laterite nickel projects, ensure accurate identification and interpretation of limonite, transition, saprolite, ferruginous zones, and bedrock boundaries.

 4. Sampling, Assay Management & QA/QC

* Supervise sample collection, labeling, preparation, storage, shipment, and laboratory testing.

* Establish and implement QA/QC procedures, including certified reference materials (standards), blanks, duplicates, check assays, and data validation.

* Analyze grade distribution, ore thickness, mineralization continuity, and spatial variability.

5. Resource Estimation & 3D Geological Modeling

* Participate in orebody interpretation, resource estimation, resource classification, reserve updates, and resource management.

* Develop and maintain geological databases and 3D geological models using industry-standard software.

* Prepare geological interpretations and support technical reporting requirements.

 6. Production Geology Support

* Work closely with mining, survey, processing, and operations teams.

* Provide geological mapping, ore control, grade control, stockpile management, and blending support.

* Monitor geological changes during mining and update geological models accordingly.

7. Geological Data & Reporting Management

* Establish and maintain comprehensive geological databases.

* Ensure drilling, sampling, assay, survey, topographic, modeling, and reporting data are accurate, complete, and traceable.

* Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and special technical reports.

* Support internal reviews, government audits, and third-party technical assessments.

8. Compliance, Safety & Team Coordination

* Ensure compliance with Indonesian mining regulations, ESDM requirements, and company HSE policies.

* Mentor and train local Indonesian geologists, technicians, and sampling personnel.

* Coordinate with drilling contractors, laboratories, survey companies, mine owners, consultants, and government agencies to ensure efficient project execution.

Qualifications

Education

* Bachelor's Degree or above in Geology, Geological Engineering, Mineral Exploration, Mining Engineering, or related disciplines.

# Experience

* Minimum 8 years of experience in mine geology, exploration geology, resource evaluation, or production geology.

* Experience in Indonesian mining projects is highly preferred.

* Experience in laterite nickel, bauxite, metallic mineral, or coal projects is highly desirable.

#Technical Knowledge

* Strong understanding of economic geology, structural geology, mineralogy, petrology, resource estimation, geostatistics, and mine geology practices.

* Familiar with exploration management, resource verification, drilling programs, assay management, and technical reporting.

* Knowledge of KCMI, JORC, and/or NI 43-101 reporting standards is highly preferred.

* Understanding of Indonesian mining regulations, including ESDM requirements and RKAB processes, is an advantage.

Software Skills

Proficient in:

* Surpac、Micromine、Leapfrog、 Datamine、 ArcGIS / QGIS、 AutoCAD、 Microsoft Excel

Ability to perform:

* Geological database management、 3D geological modeling、Resource estimation、 Technical map preparation、 Technical report writing

Language Skills

* Professional proficiency in Chinese & English.

* Strong communication skills with mine owners, government agencies, drilling contractors, laboratories, consultants, and internal teams.

Personal Attributes

* Physically fit and willing to work in remote mining locations and tropical environments across Indonesia.

* Willingness to travel extensively or work on-site for extended periods.

* Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and data-driven decision-making abilities.

* Excellent problem-solving, risk assessment, coordination, and cross-cultural communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with one or more of the following will be highly preferred:

* Experience in mining projects located in Sulawesi, Maluku, or Kalimantan.

* Hands-on experience in laterite nickel resource verification, grade control, and production geology.

* Participation in KCMI, JORC, NI 43-101, or internal resource reporting projects.

* Established network with Indonesian drilling contractors, laboratories, survey companies, mining contractors, and technical service providers.

* Experience in mining due diligence, project acquisitions, resource risk assessment, and technical investment evaluation.
