Drilling Engineer – Drilling Operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering Mechanical Engineering Geological Engineering or a related discipline.

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Drilling Engineer or similar role in the oil and gas industry.

• Experience in well planning drilling operations drilling performance analysis and operational support.

• Strong understanding of drilling engineering principles well design drilling hydraulics casing design directional drilling and well control.

• Familiar with HSE requirements risk assessment and industry best practices.

• Experience using drilling engineering software and other relevant technical applications.

• Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills.

• Good command of English both written and spoken.

• Based in Jakarta or willing to be based in Jakarta.

• Willing to travel and work at project sites as required.

• Available to join in the near future.

• Meet occupational health requirements in accordance with company regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare drilling programs operational procedures and technical documentation for drilling activities.

• Develop well planning including well trajectory casing program drilling fluid program and equipment requirements.

• Monitor drilling operations and provide technical support to ensure activities are carried out safely efficiently and in accordance with project objectives.

• Analyze drilling performance and identify opportunities for operational improvement and NPT reduction.

• Support cost estimation budgeting scheduling and procurement planning related to drilling operations.

• Coordinate with drilling teams project personnel clients and contractors during project execution.

• Review operational data technical reports and engineering calculations to support decision making.

• Identify operational risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.

• Ensure compliance with company procedures client requirements HSE standards and applicable regulations.

• Prepare technical reports operational reports and performance evaluations.
