Software Development Manager

We're Hiring: Software Development Manager!

We're looking for a Software Development Manager who can lead our engineering team to build and scale the system — and drive the integration of AI into the core of what we ship.

What you'll do

• Lead and manage the Software Development team across planning, system design, and development

• Define engineering standards, code review processes, and development best practices

• Design and evaluate scalable, maintainable system architecture for our applications

• Drive AI/ML adoption into our products and the team's development workflow

• Collaborate with the IT System Integrator, Product Owner, and cross-functional stakeholders on product roadmap

• Manage team capacity, task allocation, and the career growth of your engineers

• Ensure delivery quality through structured testing, QA, and code review processes

• Monitor production systems and lead resolution of critical incidents

• Initiate and oversee implementation of generative AI features across the product

• Own recruitment, onboarding, and capability development of the Software Development team

• Report development progress and present updates to BOD and management

What we're looking for

• 5+ years in software development, with the last 2 years as Senior Developer or Tech Lead

• Proven experience leading a development team (3+ people)

• Strong command of at least one backend language: Golang, Python, or TypeScript

• Hands-on experience using AI/LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, or equivalent) in real projects

• Able to build or integrate RAG pipelines for document-based or knowledge systems

• Solid understanding of prompt engineering and model evaluation for enterprise applications

• Experience designing microservices architecture and REST/gRPC APIs

• Proficient with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, Redis, Elasticsearch)

• Familiar with containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)

• No minimum education requirement — your track record matters more than your degree

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience with AI agent frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, or equivalent)

• Familiarity with MLOps: model serving, drift monitoring, versioning

• Background in HR Tech, assessment systems, or computer vision

• Cloud AI platform experience (GCP Vertex AI, AWS SageMaker, or Azure AI)

• Certification in Cloud (GCP / AWS / Azure) or AI/ML (TensorFlow, AWS ML Specialty)
