About the Role:
This role ensures that all products are prepared to the highest quality standards, maintaining consistency in taste, presentation, and execution. The Sous Chef also plays a key role in supervising the team, maintaining kitchen efficiency, and upholding food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Executive Chef/ Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations and food preparation
- Supervise kitchen staff and ensure all food is prepared according to company standards and recipes
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, hygiene and sanitation
- Monitor food stock levels and coordinate with purchasing for ordering supplies
- Ensure proper food storage and handling according to food safety standards
- Train and guide kitchen staff to improve performance and efficiency
- Ensure smooth kitchen operations in the absence of the Executive Chef
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma or Degree in Culinary Arts or related field is preferred
- At least 3-5 years of experience in the Kitchen with minimum 1-2 years as a Sous Chef
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen management, and food safety standards
- Good leadership and team management skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Good communication and organizational skills
