SHIFT BOSS FOR TUNNELING

About the role

SYC Philippine Corporation is seeking an experienced Shift Boss (Construction) to join our team in Pasig City, Metro Manila. As a Shift Boss, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of our construction site, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. What you'll be doing

·        Manage and oversee the workflow on the construction site, including scheduling, task allocation, and monitoring progress

·        Supervise and coordinate the work of a team of construction workers, ensuring they adhere to safety protocols and company policies

·        Monitor and report on the progress of construction projects, identifying and resolving any issues or challenges that arise

·        Liaise with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration

·        Provide guidance and support to construction workers. Train, develop and motivate staff to improve performance and meet objectives

·        Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations

·        Contribute to the continuous improvement of construction processes and procedures

·        Works with management in providing estimates of man hours, materials, tools and equipment needed for work assignments;

·        Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

·        Provides input whenever necessary in generating Methodologies, Test Plans, Risk Assessment and other relative documents

Qualifications

·        Proven experience as a Construction Shift Boss or a similar supervisory role in the construction industry

·        Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team

·        Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on safety and efficiency

·        Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications

·        Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with various stakeholders

·        Familiarity with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations in the construction industry

·        Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
