ERP / Java Developer

Key responsibilities

1. Design and develop Java applications and ERP system modules using industry best practices and coding standards

2. Analyse business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and solutions

3. Develop, test, and deploy ERP functionalities to ensure system reliability and performance

4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, system architects, and quality assurance specialists

5. Maintain and enhance existing ERP systems, addressing defects and optimising performance

6. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members

7. Document technical solutions, system designs, and development processes

8. Support integration of ERP systems with other applications and third-party services

9. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in development, testing, and production environments

What we're looking for

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)

2. 3+ years of professional experience in Java development

3. Proven experience with ERP systems (such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms)

4. Strong proficiency in Java programming languages and object-oriented design principles

5. Experience with SQL and relational databases

6. Familiarity with enterprise application development frameworks and tools

7. Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies

8. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

9. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

10. Experience with version control systems (such as Git)

11. Preferred: Experience with cloud technologies, microservices architecture, or API development

12. Preferred: Certifications in Java or ERP systems
