Supermarket Manager - (Property - Supermarket) - Batam (B-132895)

About The Company:

• The working venue is in Batam.

• Our client is a Property (Supermarket) company. Currently, they are looking for Supermarket Manager.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute the end-to-end pre-opening project, including planning, scheduling, and coordination to ensure timely supermarket launch and smooth initial operation.

• Develop the supermarket's organizational structure, manpower plan, recruitment strategy, and operational Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in collaboration with management.

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as Project, Finance, Procurement, HR, IT, Hospitality, consultants, suppliers, and contractors to fulfill all operational requirements before opening.

• Review and optimize store layout, customer flow patterns, merchandising strategies, and operational processes to enhance customer experience and efficiency.

• Oversee store readiness activities, including equipment installation, supplier onboarding, inventory preparation, system implementation, and operational testing prior to opening.

• Manage daily supermarket operations post-opening, focusing on achieving sales targets, profitability goals, service quality standards, and operational KPIs.

• Lead, train, and performance-manage department managers and store employees to foster a high-performing retail team.

• Prepare operational performance reports, monitor key business metrics, and develop actionable strategies to improve sales, customer satisfaction, and overall store effectiveness.

• Other responsibilities as needed.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality, Business Management, Supply Chain, or similar

• Business English proficiency (can do technical discussion with foreigners)

• Min. 6 years as Supermarket Manager in an upscale or premium supermarket, experienced in pre opening, including operational planning, team set up and store launch, with strong experience managing supermarket operations (sales, merchandising, inventory, customer service)

• Strong leadership, project management, communication, problem solving, stake holder management, hands on and proactive
