General Accounting Analyst

Overall Description

Supports General Accounting processes by ensuring accuracy and compliance, while contributing to improvement efficiency and assisting in continuous improvement initiatives.

Experience

• 3-5 years of university studies in Finance/Accounting, or related field
• 1-3 years of work experience in General Accounting
• Support in month-end closing and financial reporting processes
• Assisting in the development of GA procedures (SOP)
• Collaboration with stakeholders to ensure accuracy in financial reports

• Understanding of financial reporting and compliance requirements

Role Success Criteria

Successfully supported General Accounting functions with attention to detail and accuracy, contributing to process efficiency and collaborating with stakeholders for timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for execution (recording transactions) and period-end closing
• Process journal entries, accruals and intercompany transactions
• Assist with payroll and project accounting
• Assist with fixed assets accounting
• Prepare trial balances to support month-end close activities
• Perform reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial reporting
• Support elimination processing as part of the closing process
• Prepare financial data for reporting and decision-making
