Job Description:
Sectioning, processing, and staining tissue (histopathology/cytology) to prepare it for microscopic examination.
Ensuring optimal functioning of laboratory equipment such as microscopes, microtomes, and chemicals/reagents.
Maintaining a clean work area in accordance with patient safety principles.
Stay informed with the latest industry trends, techniques, and best practices.
Document all activities, results and report back to management.
Clean and sterilize equipment and work area.
Classify and label samples.
Requirements:
Minimum Diploma (D3/D4) in Health Analyst or Medical Laboratory Technology (TLM).
Often requires specialized anatomical pathology technician certification or a valid Registration Certificate (STR).
High precision, understanding of histotechnology, and specimen management skills.
Having proven minimum 1 years of experience in the same position
Good understanding of laboratory information systems and automated laboratory equipment
