Graphic Designer – Packaging, Branding & Product Artwork

Santec is a product design and manufacturing company based in Brisbane. We work across consumer healthcare, dental and retail products supplied to Australian and international markets.

We are looking for a practical, detail-focused Graphic Designer to join our small Brisbane team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys brand design, packaging artwork, product presentation and working closely with production, regulatory and sales teams to bring products to market.

About the role

You will be responsible for creating and maintaining product packaging, labels, instructions, sales materials and digital assets across our oral care and consumer product ranges.

This is not just a creative design role. Accuracy, consistency and attention to detail are critical, as much of the work involves packaging, regulatory information, barcodes, symbols, print specifications and retailer requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Create and update packaging artwork, labels, cartons, instructions and product inserts

• Prepare print-ready files for suppliers and manufacturers

• Maintain brand consistency across packaging, catalogues, presentations and digital assets

• Work with internal teams to update product claims, regulatory symbols, barcodes and recycling information

• Create product mock-ups, sales sheets, Amazon/e-commerce images and marketing collateral

• Liaise with printers, suppliers and manufacturers regarding artwork specifications

• Manage artwork revisions and version control

• Support new product development with concept visuals, packaging layouts and presentation material

Skills and experience

• Strong skills in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop

• Experience preparing packaging or print-ready artwork

• High attention to detail and ability to work accurately with technical information

• Good understanding of layout, typography, colour and brand consistency

• Ability to manage multiple artwork revisions and deadlines

• Comfortable working with product codes, barcodes, symbols and packaging specifications

• Good communication skills and a practical, problem-solving approach

Experience in FMCG, medical devices, oral care, cosmetics, healthcare, retail packaging or consumer products would be highly regarded, but is not essential.

About you

You are organised, careful and commercially minded. You enjoy making artwork look good, but also making sure it is correct, practical and ready for production. You can take direction, ask the right questions and work through revisions without losing attention to detail.
