Product Designer (Home Fragrance & Lifestyle Products)

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop home fragrance products, including scented candles, reed diffusers, car diffusers, and related lifestyle products.

• Generate creative product concepts, packaging designs, and seasonal collections that align with the company's brand identity and market trends.

• Prepare product specifications, design drawings, mock-ups, and technical requirements for production.

• Coordinate with factories and suppliers on product development, mould opening, prototyping, sampling, and mass production.

• Work closely with manufacturers to ensure product quality, functionality, and design consistency throughout the production process.

• Collaborate with the China team on product development timelines, sourcing, materials selection, and project execution.

• Conduct market research and analyse industry trends, competitor products, and consumer preferences to identify new product opportunities.

• Participate in product testing and continuously improve product designs based on feedback and commercial performance.

• Manage multiple product development projects simultaneously and ensure timely delivery of new product launches.

• Support ad-hoc design and product development initiatives assigned by management.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, Graphic Design, or a related discipline.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in product design and development, preferably in home fragrance, beauty, lifestyle, gift, or FMCG industries.

• Experience in product development processes, including mould development, sampling, and manufacturing coordination.

• Familiarity with materials, packaging, and production techniques for consumer products.

• Proficient in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or other relevant design tools.

• Strong creativity, attention to detail, and project management skills.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with overseas teams and suppliers.

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.

• Proficiency in both English and Mandarin is preferred to facilitate communication with our China team and manufacturing partners.
