Electrical Engineer (Solar Panel)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer (Solar Panel) to join our growing renewable energy team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the engineering, design, installation, and execution of utility-scale and commercial solar photovoltaic (PV) projects. This position plays a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with applicable standards.

Responsibilities

- Design and review electrical systems for solar photovoltaic (PV) projects.

- Prepare single-line diagrams (SLD), electrical layouts, cable sizing, and protection system calculations.

- Support engineering design for rooftop, ground-mounted, and floating solar PV systems.

- Coordinate with project managers, civil engineers, procurement teams, and subcontractors during project execution.

- Conduct site surveys and technical assessments before project implementation.

- Supervise electrical installation, testing, commissioning, and system energization.

- Ensure all work complies with local regulations, IEC standards, and company quality standards.

- Troubleshoot electrical issues during installation and commissioning.

- Monitor project progress and prepare technical reports and documentation.

- Provide technical support to clients and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

- Ensure compliance with HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) requirements on-site.

- Support continuous improvement initiatives for engineering processes and project delivery.

Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.

- Minimum **3–6 years** of experience in the Solar EPC industry or Solar Project Developer.

- Must have hands-on experience in solar PV project execution.

- Experience with **rooftop, ground-mounted, or floating solar PV** projects is mandatory.

- Strong understanding of photovoltaic systems, inverters, transformers, switchgear, and electrical distribution.

- Familiar with IEC, PLN, and Indonesian electrical regulations.

- Proficient in AutoCAD, PVsyst, ETAP, or other electrical engineering software.

- Experience in testing and commissioning solar power systems.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

- Willing to travel to project sites when required.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience leading engineering activities for utility-scale solar projects.

- Professional Engineer (IPM/SKK) certification is an advantage.

- Knowledge of SCADA, monitoring systems, and grid interconnection.

- Experience working with international EPC companies is a plus.
