A Land Development Manager focuses directly on transforming raw land into active, high-yield production fields. This role emphasizes engineering, agronomy, crop establishment, and day-to-day project execution.
Core Responsibilities:
Managing the removal of vegetation, rocks, and debris while leveling the terrain for planting.
Overseeing deep tillage, earthmoving, soil conditioning, and the application of primary fertilizers.
Designing and installing laser-guided drainage systems, retention ponds, and drip or pivot irrigation.
Building internal farm roads, culverts, and staging areas for heavy machinery and harvest logistics.
Coordinating the initial large-scale seeding, transplanting, or field layout planning.
Key Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness, Agronomy, Agricultural Engineering or a related field.
Experience: 10 years of hands-on experience in large-scale land development, plantation establishment.
Proficiency with precision agriculture tech (GPS/GIS mapping), heavy machinery operations, and hydrology/drainage blueprints.
Proven track record of managing large, diverse field crews in remote or high-pressure environments.
