Event Designer (Open to Architects or Engineers with experience)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and hands-on Structural Supervisor to oversee the planning, installation, maintenance, and dismantling of temporary event structures. The role is responsible for ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with design specifications while leading site teams and coordinating resources to deliver successful events.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the end-to-end execution of temporary structure projects, from planning and installation through dismantling and site turnover.
• Review structural layouts, technical drawings, and design plans to ensure accuracy, feasibility, and compliance with project requirements.
• Plan and coordinate the deployment of manpower, equipment, tools, and materials needed for project execution.
• Conduct pre-installation site inspections to assess venue conditions and identify potential operational or safety risks.
• Monitor on-site construction and installation activities to ensure quality standards, timelines, and project objectives are achieved.
• Enforce compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
• Lead, supervise, and coordinate installation teams, contractors, and support personnel throughout project implementation.
• Foster a collaborative and productive work environment while maintaining discipline and accountability among team members.
• Manage the mobilization, deployment, retrieval, and inventory of structural assets, equipment, and materials.
• Perform inspections during live events to verify that all structures remain safe, secure, and fully operational.
• Prepare site reports, progress updates, and project documentation for management review.
• Assist in resolving project-related issues and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in structural supervision, construction, event structures, or a similar capacity.
• Proven experience leading and managing teams in a project-based environment.
• Proficient in SketchUp, AutoCAD, and other 3D design or modeling software.
• Strong knowledge of structural concepts, technical drawings, and construction methodologies.
• Excellent planning, coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Must be able to provide a portfolio showcasing relevant projects and technical work.
• Willing to conduct site visits and work in a fast-paced event environment.

Preferred Background

• Engineers or Architects with design experience who are interested in transitioning into the event management industry are encouraged to apply.
• Experience in temporary structures, exhibitions, events, construction, or related industries is an advantage.
