About the role
PT MEGA TATA LESTARI (ZAS GROUP) is seeking an experienced as a Superintendent Production to join our excellent operations team. This role would be placement in Site Kabaena, Southeast Sulawesi, and offers the chance to be a part of a dynamic and progressive company in the Mining, Resources, and Energy industry.
Job Description
Develop, implement, and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly production plans to achieve production targets in accordance with the mine plan.
Lead and supervise all mining production activities, including loading, hauling, waste dumping, ore mining, and ore delivery to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Optimize mining fleet productivity by monitoring equipment utilization, cycle time, availability, and operational performance.
Ensure ore quality meets company and customer specifications through coordination with the Geology and Quality Control teams.
Monitor and maintain haul roads, mining faces, waste dumps, and stockpiles to support safe and uninterrupted mining operations.
Ensure compliance with Good Mining Practice (GMP), SMKP Minerba, company SOPs, and HSE standards.
Control operational costs through efficient utilization of manpower, equipment, fuel, and other operational resources.
Analyze production performance, identify operational issues, and implement corrective and continuous improvement initiatives.
Lead, coach, and develop Supervisors, Foremen, and operational teams to achieve production, safety, and cost objectives.
Coordinate with Mine Engineering, Geology, Survey, Plant, HSE, and other related departments to ensure smooth mining operations.
Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly production reports to management.
Qualification
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering or Geology.
Minimum 10 years of experience in mining operations, with at least 3 years in a Superintendent or equivalent supervisory role in a nickel mining operation.
Certified POP/POM (POM minimum requirement; POU is an advantage).
Strong knowledge of open-pit mining operations, mine planning, production management, and ore quality control.
Good understanding of Good Mining Practice (GMP), SMKP Minerba, and HSE regulations.
Strong knowledge of haul road management, fleet productivity, and mining equipment performance.
Experienced in production planning, cost control, and operational performance analysis.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with mining software such as MineScape, Surpac, Vulcan, or similar is an advantage.
Willing to work on a roster basis at a remote mining site.
