About the role

We are seeking an experienced Export Operation professional to join PT Samsung SDS Global SCL Indonesia in a full-time capacity. Based in Cakung, Jakarta, this role is fundamental to our customs and import/export operations. As an Export Operation specialist, you will be responsible for managing the complete export process, ensuring compliance with international regulations, and maintaining seamless logistics operations. This position plays a vital strategic role in supporting our global supply chain and contributing to the success of our international trade operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all aspects of export operations, including documentation, customs clearance, and shipment processing

• Prepare and verify export documentation such as commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin

• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and country-specific export rules

• Liaise with customs authorities, freight forwarders, and shipping agents to facilitate smooth export procedures

• Monitor shipment status and provide regular updates to internal stakeholders and customers

• Resolve export-related issues and discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner

• Maintain accurate records of export transactions and maintain organised documentation systems

• Stay informed of changes in export regulations and implement necessary procedural updates

• Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely preparation and dispatch of goods

• Support customs inspections and audits as required

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in export operations or customs clearance, with a minimum of 3–5 years in a similar role

• Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and export documentation requirements

• Familiarity with customs systems and export management software

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in processing documentation

• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple shipments simultaneously

• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken; Indonesian language skills are essential

• Knowledge of Harmonized System (HS) codes and tariff classification

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex export scenarios

• Certification in customs or export management is advantageous
