Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Odoo Senior Business Analyst to join our growing ERP team. In this strategic role, you will serve as the primary bridge between business stakeholders and the technical implementation team, ensuring that Odoo ERP solutions are aligned with organizational goals, operational workflows, and long-term digital transformation strategies.

You will lead requirements gathering, solution design, system configuration, and user enablement activities across multiple Odoo modules. The ideal candidate combines deep functional expertise with strong analytical thinking and exceptional communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Requirements

• Lead discovery workshops and stakeholder interviews to elicit, document, and validate business requirements across departments (Finance, Sales, Inventory, Manufacturing, HR, etc.).

• Translate complex business needs into clear functional specifications, process flows, and user stories.

• Perform gap analysis between existing business processes and Odoo out-of-the-box capabilities.

• Maintain comprehensive requirements traceability matrices throughout the project lifecycle.

Solution Design & Configuration

• Design end-to-end Odoo solutions, including module selection, workflow configuration, and integration architecture.

• Configure Odoo modules (Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Accounting, Manufacturing, HR, CRM, Project, etc.) to match approved functional designs.

• Collaborate with developers to specify customizations, reports, and third-party integrations when standard configuration is insufficient.

• Ensure data migration strategies are well-defined, validated, and executed accurately.

Project Delivery & Stakeholder Management

• Manage functional workstreams within Agile or structured project delivery frameworks.

• Develop and maintain project documentation: BRDs, FRDs, SIT/UAT test scripts, training materials, and release notes.

• Facilitate UAT sessions, track and resolve defects, and obtain formal sign-offs from business owners.

• Present solution designs, progress updates, and risk/issue escalations to senior leadership.

Post-Go-Live & Continuous Improvement

• Provide support immediately and coordinating resolutions.

• Analyze system usage patterns and propose process improvements or additional module adoption.

• Mentor junior business analysts and support knowledge transfer within the team.

Required Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Master's degree or MBA is advantageous but not mandatory.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience as a Business Analyst with at least 3 years dedicated to Odoo ERP implementations.

• Demonstrated experience across a minimum of 3 full-cycle Odoo implementation projects (v13 preferred).

• Proven track record delivering multi-module Odoo deployments in mid-to-large enterprise environments.

Technical Skills

• Deep functional expertise in core Odoo modules: Accounting, Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Manufacturing (MRP/MO), HR & Payroll, and CRM.

• Working knowledge of Odoo technical stack: Python, XML, QWeb templates, and OWL framework (ability to communicate with developers, not necessarily code independently).

• Experience with Odoo.sh, on-premises, and cloud deployment models.

• Familiarity with REST/XML-RPC API integrations and middleware platforms (e.g., Zapier, MuleSoft, custom connectors).

• Proficiency in data tools: SQL queries, Excel/Google Sheets pivot analysis, and BI reporting (Metabase or similar).

Certifications (Preferred)

• Odoo Functional Certification (v13 or above).

• CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or CCBA.

• PMP, PMI-ACP, or Scrum Master certification is a plus.

Language Proficiency

• English – Active communication in English is a must.

• Candidates must be able to conduct requirements workshops, write formal documentation (BRDs, FRDs, test scripts), and present to senior stakeholders entirely in English.

• Strong business writing skills are essential; the ability to produce clear, concise, and grammatically accurate reports and emails is required.

Work Environment & Conditions

Work location is in Jepara, Central Java (WFO only). This role operates in a fast-paced, project-driven environment. The Senior Business Analyst will engage directly with C-level sponsors, department heads, and technical teams. Occasional travel to branch sites may be required for workshops, go-live support, or training delivery.

The position requires flexibility during critical project phases, including go-lives and UAT cycles, which may involve extended hours.
