We are searching for a Business Development Manager to aggressively develop and drive further growth of it's project logistics business within Indonesia with focus on the Energy market. 

About the role

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to join our sales and business development team at PT Altus Logistics Services Indonesia. This is a full-time position based in Jakarta Selatan, Jakarta Raya. In this strategic role, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities to drive revenue growth and market expansion. You will play a pivotal role in building and nurturing client relationships, developing new market segments, and implementing business development strategies that align with our company objectives. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our organisation's growth trajectory whilst working with a professional and forward-thinking team.

Key responsibilities

  1. Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities and market segments within the logistics and supply chain industry

  2. Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to achieve sales targets and revenue growth objectives

  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients, key decision-makers, and strategic partners

  4. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and potential risks

  5. Prepare and deliver persuasive business proposals, presentations, and pitches to prospective clients

  6. Negotiate contracts and commercial terms to ensure mutually beneficial agreements with new clients

  7. Collaborate with internal teams including operations, finance, and customer service to ensure seamless client onboarding and service delivery

  8. Monitor business development activities, track performance metrics, and provide regular reporting on pipeline development and conversion rates

  9. Attend industry events, conferences, and networking functions to promote our services and generate leads

  10. Develop case studies and success stories to support marketing and sales initiatives


What we're looking for

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field

  2. Minimum 3-5 years' experience in business development, sales, or a similar role, preferably within the logistics, supply chain, and oil and gas company

  3. Proven track record of successfully identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities

  4. Strong understanding of the logistics and energy sector, including market dynamics and customer needs

  5. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

  6. Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with clients at all levels

  7. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to develop strategic solutions

  8. Results-driven mindset with the ability to work independently and meet challenging targets

  9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

  10. Fluency in Indonesian and English is essential

  11. Willingness to travel as required

  12. Preferred: Knowledge of Indonesian market dynamics, and previous success in business development within emerging markets
