About the role

TC Group provides integrated legal, tax, accounting, corporate and cross-border business services to companies expanding internationally. You will be TC Group's key local representative and work closely with our China-based teams, the Indonesia Professional Partner and qualified advisers. This role owns the commercial and external-relations agenda; regulated professional services will be delivered by appropriately qualified professionals.

Important language requirement

Full professional proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is required, as this role will regularly communicate with China-based teams and Chinese-speaking clients.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the launch and growth of TC Group's Indonesia business and deliver agreed stage-based commercial targets.

  • Develop local, cross-border and referral opportunities linked to Chinese companies entering or expanding in Indonesia.

  • Support client engagement from needs assessment and market-entry planning through proposals, pricing support, conversion, project follow-up, renewal and relationship management.

  • Build and maintain networks with law firms, notaries, accounting firms, tax advisers, banks, chambers, industry associations, industrial parks, relevant institutions, HR/payroll providers and immigration providers.

  • Represent TC Group in client meetings, partner discussions, business events, seminars, chamber activities and targeted market-development initiatives.

  • Monitor policy, regulatory and market developments, identify opportunities and risks, and establish practical partner-selection, quotation and delivery-quality processes.

  • Work with the Indonesia Professional Partner and regional teams to localise service offerings, pricing logic, delivery boundaries, client checklists, templates, SOPs and reporting mechanisms.

  • Support and train China-based sales and client teams on Indonesia market opportunities, service scope and compliance limitations.

  • Coordinate KYC/CDD, UBO identification, client risk assessment and document-retention processes, and report regularly on pipeline, conversions, partnerships, market developments and risks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above in law, accounting, finance, tax, business administration, international business, corporate governance or a related field.

  • At least 6-8 years of relevant experience in Indonesia in corporate services, business advisory, professional services, legal/accounting/consulting firms, banking, investment advisory, government relations, chambers/associations or cross-border business services.

  • Strong understanding of Indonesia's business environment and the needs of Chinese companies entering Indonesia, including company establishment, investment structures, tax compliance, banking, business setup, employment and immigration coordination.

  • Strong local relationship-building capability across banks, law firms, notaries, accounting firms, tax advisers, chambers, industrial parks and relevant institutions.

  • Fluent Bahasa Indonesia and English, plus full professional proficiency in Mandarin Chinese.

  • Proven strength in client development, solution design, negotiation, project coordination, partner management and local resource integration.

  • Demonstrated ability to build business processes, service offerings, partnerships and delivery support systems from the ground up.

  • Commercially minded, proactive, reliable and client-oriented, with sound judgment, compliance awareness and problem-solving ability.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience serving Chinese companies, China outbound clients, multinational companies or cross-border clients.

  • Existing Jakarta networks across banks, professional firms, chambers, industrial parks or relevant institutions.

  • Background in a Big Four firm, law firm, accounting firm, consulting firm, bank, corporate services provider, investment promotion organisation or business association.

  • Working knowledge of PT PMA, OSS/NIB, tax registration, bank account opening, HR/payroll, work permit/KITAS coordination and business licensing.

  • Experience leading a market, building teams or channels, commercialising professional services, and carrying revenue, conversion or partial P&L targets.
