Textile Buyer (Menswear, Womenswear, Underwear)

About the role

We are seeking a Textile Buyer (Menswear, Womenswear, Underwear) to join PT SANFU INTERNASIONAL COMPANI. This is a full-time position based in Jakarta Raya. As a Textile Buyer, you will play a crucial role in our procurement operations, responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing textile materials across our menswear, womenswear, and underwear product lines. Your strategic purchasing decisions will directly impact our product quality, cost efficiency, and supply chain effectiveness, making this role essential to our retail and consumer products success.

Key responsibilities

• Source and identify high-quality textile suppliers and materials for menswear, womenswear, and underwear product categories (product selection, prototyping, and sample review)

• Conduct regular research on the local Indonesian fashion market (trends, preferences, fit requirements)

• Identify trending elements of hit products, formulate product selection strategies

• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with textile suppliers to achieve optimal cost savings whilst maintaining quality standards

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, conducting regular performance reviews and assessments

• Sales data analysis and inventory management by tracking sales data, restocking or clearance strategies, and managing the risk of slow-moving stock

What we're looking for

• Education: D3 or higher; majors in Fashion Design, Textile Engineering, Marketing or related fields with 2 years or more relevant experience as a textile buyer (candidates with relevant work experience at textile brands e.g. H&M or Uniqlo are preferred)

• Familiar with Indonesian textile market and garment manufacturing supply chain

• Responsible, communicative, coordinative, and multi-tasking

• Able to work under pressure

• English proficiency is required, Chinese proficiency is an advantage.
