The role will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of their plantations. This position requires a great number of duties, including managing daily operations of plantations, planning crops to maximize profit, ensuring minimal loss, creating budgets, hiring workers, evaluating workers, supervising all maintenance, acting as a representative of the plantations within the business, maintaining absolute safety in the environment, retaining knowledge regarding the business, maintaining knowledge of applicable laws and procedures, contacting vendors and suppliers, and maintaining inventory. This position requires someone who knows the plantation business inside and out and is willing to go the extra mile for the good of the whole.
Job Descriptions:
Oversee all plantation operations, including crop cultivation, warehouse management, and machinery maintenance, to ensure efficient and profitable production.
Develop and implement strategic plans for the plantations, considering market trends, weather conditions, and regulatory requirements.
Manage a team of plantation workers, providing guidance, training, and supervision to ensure tasks are completed effectively and safely.
Monitor and analyze plantations performance, including financial and production data, to make informed decisions and optimize plantations productivity and profitability.
Requirements:
Minimum 15 years of experience in the Plantation Industry (from the sugarcane industry will be an advantage)
Extensive knowledge of plantation practices, including crop cultivation, warehouse management, and irrigation systems, to oversee and optimize plantation operations.
Strong leadership and management skills to effectively supervise and coordinate plantation workers, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity.
Excellent problem-solving abilities to identify and address issues related to crop diseases, pest control, equipment maintenance, and other plant-related challenges.
Solid financial acumen to manage budgets, analyze costs, and make informed decisions to maximize farm profitability and sustainability.
Able to communicate in English, written and verbal
Willing to work in Merauke Site (no Roster)
