RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Preparing and filing monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns (e.g., VAT, Income Tax, and Withholding Tax) using platforms like eFPS or eBIR.
- Compiling supporting schedules, organizing BIR Form 2307s, and assisting in the preparation for tax audits.
- Examines all supporting documents needed for tax filings and ensure that all documents needed to be filed with BIR and SEC are complete and filed and paid.
- Record daily transactions, handle account reconciliations, and maintain the general ledger to ensure financial records are accurate.
- Prepare and submit statutory documents like the Alpha list of Payees/Employees and Summary List of Sales and Purchases.
- Gather the necessary schedules, ledger extracts, and support documents for internal and external audits, as well as responding to tax notices.
- Processing and renewing local government unit (LGU) business permits, collecting real property taxes, and ensuring compliance with local tax assessments.
- Monitoring changes in tax laws and communicating updates across relevant internal departments.
- Assist with payroll processing and related accounting reports.
- Help maintain organized financial records and documentation.
- Generate basic financial reports as requested (e.g., expense reports, payroll summaries).
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Ensure timely and accurate data entry and maintain compliance with financial policies.
- Assist with onboarding-related financial tasks, such as setting up payroll and tax accounts for new hires.
- Communicate with vendors, employees, and stakeholders regarding payment status or payroll matters, as needed.
- Maintains financial records for companies by analyzing balance sheets and general ledger accounts.
- Oversee bank reconciliation processing and ensure all cash transactions are appropriately accounted for.
- Reconciles general and subsidiary bank accounts by gathering and balancing information.
- Provides financial status information by preparing special reports and completing special projects.
- Corrects errors by posting adjusted journal entries.
- Secures financial information by keeping information confidential.
- Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
- Assisting in creating policies and tax planning for BIR Compliances.
- Other duties as assigned or requested by the Immediate Superior.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in accountancy, finance, or a related field; CPA is an
advantage but not required.
- At least 1 year of experience in tax or general accounting; fresh graduates with strong academic backgrounds may be considered.
- Open to fresh graduates with exceptional internship records in tax/auditing firms.
- Kee to details and Trustworthy.
- Basic knowledge of Philippine tax laws, BIR forms, and filing systems (eFPSeBIRForms).
- Knowledgeable in government compliance with the BIR, SSS, PHIC, HDMF, and LGUs; good written and oral communication skills; proficient in MS Excel; and attentive to details.
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet deadlines required.
- Familiarity with local tax laws, compliance standards, and reporting procedures.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet strict deadlines under minimal supervision.
- Team players can work independently with minimal supervision.
- Can work with minimal supervision and is deadline oriented.
- Has a good moral character and office etiquette.
- Willing to be assigned to work in Las Piñas City.
- Can start immediately.
