Safety Officer

Job Requirements:

• Min. Diploma in HSE, Safety Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related fields.
• In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, occupational health, safety inspections, and emergency management.
• Strong communication and coordination skills for both internal and external collaboration.
• High safety awareness with the ability to promote a strong safety culture within the company.
• Min. 2 years of experience in a similar role.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily SHE inspections to identify unsafe conditions and unsafe behaviors.
• Monitor employee and contractor compliance with SHE policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
• Lead daily Toolbox Meetings (TBM) and deliver pre-work safety briefings.
• Review JSEA, work permits, and risk assessments for high-risk activities.
• Monitor high-risk work, including hot work, work at height, lifting operations, confined space entry, electrical work, and LOTOTO.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Conduct safety inductions and provide SHE training for employees and contractors.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with company SHE standards and applicable regulations.
• Inspect firefighting equipment, emergency facilities, and safety signage to ensure readiness.
• Support emergency response drills and ensure compliance with emergency procedures.
• Promote safety awareness and foster a positive safety culture across the workplace.
• Maintain SHE records, inspection reports, and safety documentation.
