Position Summary
The Sales Manager – Bandung Area is responsible for leading and developing sales operations across the Bandung region, driving revenue growth, expanding market coverage, and managing the distribution network. This role also serves as the primary liaison with Mandarin-speaking principals, suppliers, or headquarters regarding regional business performance, reporting, and strategic alignment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the regional sales strategy for the Bandung area to achieve sales targets, market share growth, and distribution expansion.

  • Lead, coach, and manage the area sales team (Sales Supervisors, Salesmen, Canvassers) to ensure high performance and productivity.

  • Monitor and analyze regional sales performance, including sales volume, distribution coverage, outlet penetration, and competitor activities.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, key accounts, wholesalers, and retail outlets in the Bandung region.

  • Coordinate with Mandarin-speaking principals/HQ for business reviews, target setting, product launches, and reporting.

  • Plan and implement trade promotions, pricing strategies, and merchandising activities in coordination with Trade Marketing.

  • Ensure effective route-to-market execution, stock availability, and order fulfillment across the area.

  • Prepare and present periodic sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis to management.

  • Identify new business opportunities and expansion areas within the Bandung region.

  • Manage area operating budget, including sales expenses, incentives, and promotional costs.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, and trade regulations in all sales activities.

  • Handle escalations related to distributor issues, customer complaints, or market disputes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or related field.

  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in sales, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial/area sales role, preferably in the FMCG/beverage trading or distribution industry.

  • Proven track record in managing regional sales targets, distributor networks, and field sales teams.

  • Fluent in Mandarin — required for communication with principals.

  • Strong leadership, team management, and people development skills.

  • Solid understanding of route-to-market strategy, trade marketing, and distribution management.

  • Analytical and data-driven mindset, with proficiency in sales reporting tools (Excel, SFA/DMS systems, Power BI, is a plus).

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.

  • Willing to be based in Bandung and travel extensively within the area.
