Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership and Business Development

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve annual revenue, volume, and profitability targets.
  • Drive growth across retail, wholesale, distributor, modern trade, general trade, and export channels.
  • Identify new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and market expansion initiatives.
  • Manage key customer relationships and negotiate commercial agreements with distributors, retailers, and export partners.
  • Monitor market trends, customer requirements, competitor activities, and pricing strategies.
  • Lead the sales team in achieving sales targets, customer acquisition, and account development goals.

Operations Management

  • Oversee day-to-day operations related to manufacturing coordination, inventory management, warehousing, logistics, and order fulfillment.
  • Ensure alignment between sales forecasts and production plans to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Coordinate with Production, Supply Chain, Procurement, Quality Assurance, and Finance departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Monitor operational KPIs including service levels, inventory turnover, order fulfillment accuracy, and production efficiency.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.

Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP)

  • Lead the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process to balance demand forecasts with production and supply capabilities.
  • Develop accurate demand forecasts using sales data, market trends, promotions, and customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage supply and demand risks effectively.
  • Ensure product availability while minimizing stock-outs and excess inventory.

Financial and Performance Management

  • Prepare annual sales and operational budgets.
  • Monitor revenue performance, operating expenses, and profitability.
  • Analyze sales, inventory, production, and distribution metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Generate management reports and provide recommendations for business growth and operational excellence.

Team Leadership

  • Lead and develop high-performing sales and operations teams.
  • Establish performance objectives, KPIs, and development plans.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, customer focus, and continuous improvement.
  • Mentor team members and identify succession planning opportunities.

Compliance and Quality Management

  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support implementation and adherence to GMP, HACCP, FDA, and other relevant food industry standards.
  • Maintain operational controls that support quality, efficiency, and risk management.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Food Technology, or a related field.
  • MBA or postgraduate studies in Business, Operations, or Supply Chain Management is an advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum of 8–10 years of progressive experience in sales, operations, supply chain, or business management.
  • At least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Proven experience in the food manufacturing industry is required.
  • Strong background in retail, distribution, and export operations.
  • Experience managing distributors, key accounts, modern trade, and export customers.
  • Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth while improving operational efficiency.
