About the role
Heartland Homes is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Office Administrator to join their team in Putaruru, Waikato. This full-time role is responsible for providing vital administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the office. As the first point of contact, you will play a pivotal role in creating a positive impression of the company and delivering excellent customer service.
What you'll be doing
Handling various administrative tasks, including data entry, document preparation and filing
Preparing GST and PAYE when due
Managing and reconciling supplier payments and statements
Preparing client invoices, entering into the company accounting system and chase overdue payments
Managing and administration of Accounts payable and Accounts receivable
Processing payroll
Collaborating with colleagues to identify and implement process improvements
What we're looking for
Previous experience in an office administration or similar role, preferably within administration & office support and /or the building industry
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with a diverse range of customers, contractors, suppliers and colleagues
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and multitask effectively
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records
Flexibility and adaptability to handle a variety of tasks and changing priorities
