THE OPPORTUNITY
What if your sales career actually changed people's lives?
At First Home Specialists, you won't be selling, you'll be mentoring. We're Australia's leading first home buyer advisory service, and we've built an end-to-end system that takes people from "I have no idea where to start" to owning a brand new house and land package.
As a First Home Buyer Mentor, you're the first person our clients speak to. You'll uncover their goals, assess their position, and guide qualified clients through selecting a house and land package, working with our broker team, and settling into their very first home.
This is a high-trust, high-reward role for someone who thrives on genuine connection and wants to earn accordingly.
WHAT YOU'LL EARN
• $80,000 base salary (wage draw against commission)
• Uncapped commission with realistic OTE of $320,000 – $400,000 per annum
• Top performers have the potential to earn well above this range
WHAT WE PROVIDE
• 100% Inbound enquiries, our marketing generates the leads, you convert them
• Full broker support team, you don't need to handle finance approvals yourself
• CRM and online tools to assess client eligibility quickly
• Autonomy over your schedule, results matter more than hours logged
• Hybrid working. Our office is in Southport, but much of the role is completed from home or at display locations
• Display home presentations in Brisbane (Park Ridge, Ripley, Griffin. Closest to where your clients want to live)
• A supportive, positive team culture
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Respond to all marketing enquiries and qualify new clients
• Use our proprietary tools to assess client eligibility
• Meet with clients to show them blocks of land and display homes
• Assist clients through deposits, contracts, and the build process
• Liaise with our broker team to ensure timely finance approvals
• Keep your database and CRM up to date
• Be the calm, reassuring voice that guides nervous first home buyers through one of the biggest decisions of their lives
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Experience & Skills
• Proven sales experience is essential. You know how to build rapport, handle objections, and close
• Experience in property sales, house and land, or builder sales is highly regarded
• Comfortable using CRM systems (we use HubSpot)
• Must have a reliable car of a presentable standard
Personal Attributes
• Self-motivated, much of this role is autonomous and unsupervised
• Solution-focused problem solver who stays calm under pressure
• A positive, professional presence that inspires confidence in clients and colleagues
• Excellent phone manner and presentation skills
• Reliable home office setup (good internet, phone reception, quiet workspace)
WORKING ARRANGEMENTS
This isn't a standard 9-to-5. Most clients are available for calls outside business hours, and Saturday presentations are a key part of the role. In return, you'll enjoy genuine flexibility. You manage your own diary and work from wherever makes sense. What matters is results, not clock-watching.
