Civil Project Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and technically proficient Civil Project Engineer to join PT Baramutiara Prima in South Sumatra. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in the successful planning, design, and execution of our civil and structural engineering projects. As a Civil Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing project development from conception through to completion, ensuring that all work meets our high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. This role is integral to our operations and offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the infrastructure projects that shape our region.

Key responsibilities

1. Oversee the planning, design, and execution of civil and structural engineering projects from inception to completion

2. Conduct site surveys and geological assessments to inform project design and feasibility studies

3. Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation using industry-standard software

4. Monitor project progress, budgets, and timelines to ensure adherence to schedules and financial constraints

5. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, contractors, and suppliers to ensure effective project delivery

6. Perform quality assurance and quality control inspections to verify compliance with design specifications and safety standards

7. Manage site safety protocols and ensure all work complies with relevant regulations and industry best practices

8. Prepare progress reports, risk assessments, and project documentation for stakeholders and management

9. Troubleshoot technical issues and develop practical solutions to overcome project challenges

10. Liaise with clients and regulatory authorities to ensure projects meet all requirements and standards

What we're looking for

1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline from a recognised institution

2. Minimum of 5 - 10 years of professional experience in civil or structural engineering project delivery

3. Strong proficiency in industry-standard engineering software such as AutoCAD, SAP2000, STAAD Pro, or similar applications

4. Comprehensive knowledge of civil engineering principles, structural design, construction methodologies, and building codes

5. Demonstrated experience in civil and construction project (road, building & bridge construction)

6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively within a team environment

7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly to diverse audiences

8. A valid professional engineering license or certification (PE, PEng, or equivalent) is highly desirable

9. Experience with infrastructure projects, construction management, or site supervision is advantageous

10. Proficiency in English and Indonesian languages, both written and verbal

11. A commitment to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards and practices
